General & History
If glamour is what you are after, this awesome crenellated folly in Sicily, the land of xeriscaping and spreading palm has it in quantity. Castello del Principe is a theatrical neogothic 19th century palazzo, built by an aristocratic Russian mariner, shipwrecked here, and enchanted by the area. He brought his family here, and they set about building themselves a tiny empire. The main building - which bears his coat of arms - stands on the crest of a hill with stunning views from the terrace of both the Mediterranean and the Ionian Seas. You can hire the villa, with its stupendous infinity pool and generous park all to yourself or for a party of friends, counting on attentive service from our staff. They are a pair of harmonising buildings, erected at the same time and designed by the same architect.
