General & History
A stone's throw from the breathtaking river this early 20th century chateau has been recently refurbished into an idyllic luxury retreat, steeped in historical character and grandeur; a domaine of bright airy spaces overlooking the stunning Perigord Noir paysage.
Domaine de Ranvilles dominates gorgeous 7 acre parkland with a lush ecosystem of plant- and wildlife to observe. Enjoy a continental breakfast under one of our parasols resting in front of the grand front façade. Enjoy lunch and dinner at our unrivalled poolside bar, dining and barbecue area that caters for up to 30 guests. Dotted throughout the domain are a games meadow, numerous reading and relaxation areas, table tennis and pétanque (boules) court.
Domaine de Ranvilles features intermittently as a landmark of local history. As a luxury hotel in France's most salubrious holiday destination, Domaine de Ranvilles was the chosen resort of a famous Jazz Age chanteuse and dancer, whose spirit very much lives on in her favourite abode through the subtly seductive décor adorning the chateau and the suites named after her.
