General & History
Elegant white shutters flank the windows of this stately pale stone chateau, which was built in the mid-19th century. The estate is located in one of France?s sunniest areas and benefits from its proximity to the Atlantic coast. The grounds are surrounded by a high stone wall to ensure privacy and include wooded areas and gardens that are lush with flowering bushes and trees. The large pool, which measures 6 by 12 metres, is surrounded by a wide wooden deck and is fenced ? a much appreciated safety factor for visitors with children. A play area is also provided. Some of the chateau?s rooms have beamed ceilings, parquet floors and oriental rugs and elegant chandeliers. Yet there is a comfortable, at-home quality to the decor. It is a place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The chateau has also been used as the venue for weddings and photo shoots. There are several cottages on the estate that can be rented should you have a larger party in mind. The cottages are not visible from the chateau and have a separate pool and gardens.
