In the splendid Uzès area, the Chateau is a superb property part dated from XVth century and other from XVIIIth. The Château (480m²) welcomes 6 to 17 people with a big enclosed garden (10000m²), terrace, private swimming pool and solarium.
The Chateau has been owned for 300 years by the family de Montolieu (since the XVth century). Seigneur of the area most of the generation were military. This family has done most of the important modification on the Chateau. After a fire, the façade was built in the mid XVIIIth century. The proportion and architecture respond to the necessity of space and light of the current period. During the revolution, the 2 towers were destroyed.
At the beginning of the XIXth century, the chateau has been sold to an important and wealthy family, d’Hombres. The elder installs his family in the chateau. The baron d’Hombres was a famous botanist involved in many academy of science in Europe: Italy, England, Germany… Travelling through Europe he came back with a lot plants for his adapting them in his own garden. Mayor of Ales town, he received Legion of Honor for his work. The current owners are descendant of the family d’Hombres.
