General & History
The chateau is one of Europe's oldest renovated chateaux and is available for rent for your family holiday or reunion. The chateau is located in the Savoie region of France at the base of the French Alps.
The chateau offers 10 bedrooms and over 10 bathrooms to accommodate up to 20 guests in luxurious comfort. The chateau even has separate staff quarters.
The chateau is available for rent year round as its location offers an unrivalled range of activities during all the seasons.
The chateau was originally built by French monks in the heart of the Savoie as a priory in 1032-1033. After its construction, the priory was transformed into a chateau by Barron Charles-Albert Favier du Noyer in 1828. After his renovation, the chateau changed hands three times before settling into the hands of it’s current American owners, who have completely restored the castle, preserving it’s architectual integrity while bringing a modern charm to its atmosphere.
