Two medieval towns are a short drive from the House - Penne D'Agenais and Pujols with their cobblestoned streets, markets and fairs: Wednesdays organic market (Villeneuve)

- Fridays - Farmers markets Port de Penne During the summer months, there are several night markets in the area with tables and chairs laid out in village squares and farmers cooking their own produce.
The Ferme du Lacy by the river Penne produces and sells the world famous Prunes d'Agen and there are several local vineyards and orchards in the area. For something a little different, guests can visit a local snail farm or even a beehive in Penne, the honey from which can be enjoyed at the manoir. The historic city of Cahors with its ancient bridge and wine tasting and Rocamandour with its breathtaking church built into the side of a mountain and its well-loved monkey forest.
The house is also 1 1/2 hours drive from the coast and Andorra. Pleasure boats can be hired form Port de Penne (river Lot). Fantastic dining can be expected in France's gastronomic region, particular favourites are La Maison sur la Place in Penne D'Agenais and La Toute Blanche in Pujols.
Villeneve Golf Club is nearby which has a very good restaurant. Also, 10km north of Villeneuve is the reputable Castelnaud de Gratcombe course. Horse riding and fishing are all within 20 minutes of the house.
