Chateau de Bajac: Henry IV used to regularly stay in this chateau to hunt! The Chateau de Bajac can sleep 24 in the magnificent building. The chateau comes complete with a pool, pool house, Orangery and home cinema.

Maison d'Aufage: This is a truly special little manoir. The manoir boasts classic shutters and lovely thick stone walls, together with the most modern, luxurious and classic furnishings. The Maison d'Aufage is almost like a boutique, and is one of Holiday Chateau's most exclusive and popular retreats. The gardens, pool, interior and location are hard to beat. The scent that the carefully selected flowers in the garden produce is exquisite. A delicious welcome pack awaits you!

Chateau Rideau: This private staffed chateau has all the charm and character that you would expect from a 17th century chateau, allied with modern facilities that include ipod stations, REN spa products and en-suite bathrooms to every bedroom.

La Petite Belissima: Luxury cottage with oak beams throughout that sits next to the Dordogne River. Twice weekly cleaning is included in the rental.

Manor of Sossiondo: At the Manor of Sossiondo you have a superb Manoir and cottage, independent properties on the same grounds but are only ever rented to one group. The Manoir can sleep 8 and the cottage can sleep 4 comfortably. The Sossiondo estate is only a 10 minutes drive from the beach and the coast! There are also great golf courses nearby. Sossiondo is perfect for weekend retreats or family holiday breaks. Everything you desire can be catered for by the owners.

Chateau de Trieux: All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms so the chateau is perfect for 4 couples or two families. The games room comes complete with pool table and doubles as a home cinema.

Chateau Lagosse: The Chateau Lagosse has been featured on a number of television programmes. The chateau can sleep up to 37 in tremendous comfort. The Chateau Lagosse is a luxurious holiday chateau in what is a very popular wine growing region of France. The chateau is impeccably decorated by the owners, has a private pool, gardens and a forest! This is a special chateau in France.

Chateau du Pré: This is a top-end luxury chateau rental with daily maid service included. Set in beautiful grounds (with 3 ponds), the chateau is used year round for weddings and luxury holiday rentals.

Chateau La Forest: The chateau comprises 2 houses (each with private pool) that surround an impressive 18th century chateau. Ideal for 2 separate families holidaying together who require their own space.

Things to do whilst staying at your luxury chateau in Bordeaux & Aquitaine:

The Atlantic coast for surfing, the highest sand dunes in Europe, the Bay of Arachon and pristine beaches.

The Bordelais (the wine producing area around Bordeaux), which is the largest wine producing area in France. There are over five thousand chateaux in the region (i.e. wine producing estates) and most of the chateaux will open their doors for visits to the cellars and wine tastings. The well known vineyards include Médoc, Margaux, Sauternes and St. Emilion.

Some of the best golf courses in France are located in the area around Bordeaux.

The town of Bordeaux itself is well known for its beautiful architecture, its fantastic shopping & its varied cultural events (such as the May Music Festival).
